Eric Dieny serves as Partner in the firm’s Shanghai office. He has been residing in Greater China since 1982. Previously, Eric was President and Principle Owner of EMS Consulting, a recognized boutique executive search firm with offices in China and Taiwan, for 10 years.

Eric has managed and conducted assignments to recruit C-Level and senior-level executives. His clients have ranged in size from pre-IPO,venture-backed start-ups to Fortune 500 companies across a broad range of industries including semiconductors, IT, digital media, networking, computer peripherals, wireless, telecommunications, healthcare, life sciences and various industrial products. He has sourced candidates worldwide for positions based in the Asia-Pacific region, in particular in Greater China.


1998/04 - 2008/04 Founder and President, EMS Consulting Co., Ltd.

EMS Consulting was a recognized boutique executive search firm with offices in Shanghai and Taipei specialized in recruiting top executive roles in Techology, Industrial, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Financial Services industries in Greater China. After 10 years of growth, it merged with DHR International, the 5th largest search firm in the US. The merger was a win-win combination that gave the consultants of EMS access to a leading global executive search platform while allowing DHR to benefit from the long experience of EMS consultants in Greater China, as DHR expanded throughout Asia.

Eric Dieny was the founder and principal owner of EMS. He served as President of the firm during its 10-year history. He established and managed the two EMS companies in Taiwan and China. He also gave aglobal reach to EMS through its association with ITP Worldwide from 2001 to 2008. ITP was an alliance formed by a dozen boutique executive search firms in North America, Europe and Asia that served high-tech clients around the globe.


1991/02 - 1998/03 General Manager, TAO Taiwan

TAO was an Asia-wide executive search firm owned by French and American shareholders. It was running offices in seven Asian markets by the time it was acquired by Heidrick & Struggles in 2000.

Eric Dieny grew the business of TAO Taiwan from 1991 to 1998 and built one of the largest and most respected executive search teams in theTaiwan market with five consultants and ten researchers.
